A brand-new coin series honoring the nation’s monuments, national forests, and national parks was unveiled by the United States Mint in 2010. The Mint issues a new set of coins each year to recognize various states and regions in the nation. All five of the 2010 ATB Silver Coins are proudly available at Bullion Trading LLC.
America the Beautiful, sometimes known as the ATB series, is a 56-coin series that the US Mint launched in 2010. Up to 2020, the Mint will produce five new coin designs each year. However, in 2021, the Mint will only create one new coin design. America’s Beautiful National Parks Quarter Dollar Coin Act of 2008 approved the initiative by the US Congress.
The coin program will include 50 coins for each of the US’s 50 states, five foreign territories, and the federal district. The age of the national park, forest, or monument pictured on each coin’s reverse side determined the release order for the coins. Each year, the Denver Mint and the Philadelphia Mint both participate in the manufacturing of coins in the bullion and proof varieties.
Design of 5 Oz Silver Coin – America the Beautiful
The US Mint is renowned for creating a wide variety of beautiful, precious coins, but it has never before made a coin series of this caliber. America the Beautiful coin series captures everything Americans hold dear and celebrates the significant events and national historical sites that make up our nation.
An arrangement similar to that on the obverse of a US quarter-dollar may be found on the obverse of the silver coin. This coin truly does resemble a quarter, complete with the phrases “In God We Trust,” “Liberty,” and “United States of America. The 5 oz Hot Springs coin, which is significantly thicker than a typical quarter, is the only exception to this rule.
On the reverse side of 2010 5 oz Silver Coin—America the Beautiful, you will find a stunningly detailed image of monuments inscribed. You can find the name of the monument at the top of the coin. You can see the date at the bottom of the coin. You can find the state these monuments are located on the left side of the date, and an ancient inscription “E PLURIBUS UNUM” can be found to the right.
