Design of 2011 1 oz Somalian Elephant Silver Coin(BU)
The obverse side of this 1 oz silver coin features the Somalian coat of arms. A shield is in the middle of the seal, with a single star placed in front of horizontal lines. Two jaguars hold the sides of the shield. The text “Somali Republic” and the face value of the coin are engraved on the coin.
The reverse side of the 2011 Somalia 1 oz Elephant Silver Coin features the image of a female elephant and her calf. A mother elephant guiding her young calf across the open savannas of Africa can be seen on the reverse side of the coin. Tall grasses and the sun above the elephant are also inscribed on the reverse side of this 1 oz silver coin in an artistic way.
